General Science plays an important role in our competitive exams like upsc exams-IAS, CDS, CAPF AC, SSC exams-MTS, CGL, GD CONSTABLE and in state level exams like JKSSB, JKPSC etc. In all the above mentioned exams General Science covers a very large portion. In exams like CDS, CAPF, IAS etc General Science contributes around 20 to 30 marks alone. The number of marks can go up or down but I am talking about average marks. So as we all know that it is very important that is why we have to prepare it fully for our exams

"General Science"— the word itself tells alot about its level of difficulty in exams. Exam conducting departments have made it GENERAL, which means everyone can prepare it for exams whether he/she is from arts background or commerce background or science background . Its level in exams always remains EASY TO MODERATE. You can see very easy questions from this portion along with very few moderate questions. Most of the times you will see very easy Question from this portion in your exams

Oath of consistency

• Make a timetable of your own and start preparing according to it

• Keep time For revision. To retain what you have studied before , you need to revise things. Make a proper revision plan. I will give you a revision plan you can go wit it too

REVISION PLAN:- what you had studied before revise it at least three times. Make a revision of it NEXT DAY after that revise it after a WEEK and then revise it once in a MONTH. I hope it is going to work for you

After all the tips and tricks now many students think how and from where they would prepare General Science. I will suggest to you the best way to prepare for General Science. To prepare it you need to buy NCERT  of class 9th and 10th (if you have enough time then 8th NCERT too)

You can also get them in pdf format from the official website of ncert . Maximum portion (about 90%) of general science can be prepared from these two books. After reading these two books of ncert you need to cover a few more topics like waves etc you can cover them from youtube or mail me i will help you (

Please Note if you have much time till your exam you should make your own short NOTES from these NCERT books. So that after reading they will help you to REVISE things in a very short time and then you do not need to read NCERTs again for your revision. But remember please make short notes i repeat please make short notes, there is no need to write your own book instead of notes. If you don't know how to make notes then you can mail me. I will suggest some tips.
